ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, installing, or using Chess Blocker ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Chess Blocker.

LICENSE TO USE

Chess Blocker grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App

USER RESPONSIBILITIES

As a user of Chess Blocker, you agree to:

• Provide accurate age information during onboarding
• Use the App in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not attempt to bypass or circumvent the app blocking functionality
• Not use the App to harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Maintain the security of your device and iOS installation

You are solely responsible for your use of the App and any consequences thereof.

APP FUNCTIONALITY

Chess Blocker is designed to help you manage your screen time by requiring you to solve chess puzzles before accessing certain apps. The App:

• Allows you to select which apps to block
• Presents chess puzzles when you attempt to open blocked apps
• Grants access to blocked apps upon successful puzzle completion
• Tracks statistics about puzzle solving (with your permission)

Important: Chess Blocker is a productivity tool and should not be relied upon as the sole method of preventing app access. The effectiveness of the blocking feature depends on proper iOS configuration and user compliance.

PURCHASES AND PAYMENTS

Chess Blocker is available for purchase through the Apple App Store. All payments are processed by Apple, and are subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions.

• One-Time Purchase: Chess Blocker requires a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription fees
• Refunds: Refund requests must be made through Apple's App Store according to their refund policy
• No Auto-Renewal: There are no automatic renewals or recurring charges

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, features, and functionality of Chess Blocker, including but not limited to:

• Software code and design
• Pixel art chess pieces and graphics
• User interface and user experience design
• Text, graphics, logos, and images
• Chess puzzle database and collection

are owned by Chess Blocker or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The chess puzzles are sourced from publicly available databases and are used in accordance with their respective licenses.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the App will be corrected
• The App will be compatible with all devices or iOS versions

Your use of the App is at your sole risk. Any material or data downloaded or obtained through the use of the App is done at your own discretion and risk.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHESS BLOCKER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
• Damage to your device or data
• Issues arising from blocked or unblocked app access
• Any other damages or losses arising from your use of the App

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chess Blocker and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

APP STORE COMPLIANCE

By using Chess Blocker, you acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Chess Blocker only, not with Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them
• You must comply with all applicable third-party terms when using the App

TERMINATION

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. You may also terminate this agreement by deleting the App from your device.

CHANGES TO TERMS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Chess Blocker operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
